Thanks so much for taking the time to attend Sheila’s SURPRISE 70th birthday party! Because this is a surprise party, it is important that Sheila is not able to see a bunch of cars that she recognizes on the route that she drives into her neighborhood. I have marked out the route that she normally drives to her house in RED — please avoid parking along the red path. The green areas are considered safe to park along, but please avoid the houses right next to the red streets (just give a little bit of space so she doesn’t notice cars as much). If you are an able-bodied person who is capable of parking further away, I would encourage you to park in one of the further spaces so that folks who need closer spaces can park along the west end of Sweetwater Creek Drive. If you cannot walk in to the house from these parking areas, please contact me at kleighgray@gmail.com in advance and I will arrange to have someone either give you a ride from your car to the house or shuttle your car to a parking spot.

For most attendees, it will be best if you can park and arrive to the home (after walking from your parking space) by 11:45 am so we can make sure everything is ready to go before Sheila arrives. If you need to be shuttled to the house, please arrive earlier than 11:45 am so there is time for the “valet” to park their own car and walk back to the house.

Your presence at the party is a gift in itself, so there is no need for a gift! Sheila does love thoughtful and silly handwritten cards, so if you have a favorite meaningful or funny memory with her, I suggest putting it into a card for her and we will have a basket of cards for her to go through after the party.
